Members & Access

2 min read

The Members & Access settings section helps workspace administrators review who belongs to the workspace and how their access is configured.

The section summarizes:

  • Total members
  • Active members
  • Inactive members
  • Members with project access
  • Members in groups
  • Owners and administrators

These metrics help identify access gaps and high-privilege users.

A toolbar above the list helps you find members quickly. Search by name or email, add one or more filters, and choose how the list is sorted.

You can filter by:

  • Status
  • Workspace role
  • Project access
  • Group membership
  • Project

You can sort by:

  • Name
  • Workspace role
  • Project count
  • Group count
  • Status

Use Clear to drop the active filters, or Reset filters from the empty state to return to the full list.

Members are listed in a sortable table. Each row shows:

  • Member name and email
  • Workspace role
  • Active or inactive status
  • Project count
  • Group count
  • An Attention flag when access needs review
  • A row actions menu

Click a sortable column header — Member, Workspace role, Status, Projects, or Groups — to sort by it. Column sorting stays in step with the Sort by control in the toolbar.

Expand a row (use the chevron, or click the row) to reveal that member’s:

  • Project access — each project the member can access, with their role
  • Groups — the groups the member belongs to

A member is flagged for Attention when their access may need review — for example inactive status, no project access, no groups, or access to many projects.

Use View recent activity to open the member activity panel.

Activity can be filtered by:

  • Type
  • Last 7 days
  • Last 30 days
  • All time

Activity includes events such as invites, role changes, removal, and project access changes.

Use Remove from workspace when a user should no longer belong to the workspace.

Hawzu asks for confirmation before removing the user. Removing a user from the workspace is different from removing access to one project.
