Collections

Collections are curated sets of insights designed for a specific workflow. Instead of adding insights one at a time, a collection drops an entire role-based dashboard into your panel with a single click.

Use a collection as a starting point when you open Observatory for the first time, or when you want a proven set of insights for a role without building it yourself.

How Collections Work

Each collection is a fixed list of insights built for a particular audience. When you add a collection:

  • Every insight in the collection is added to the current panel.
  • Insights already in the panel are skipped, so nothing is duplicated.
  • The button shows how many will be added — for example, Add all (6).

Collections are available from the Collections tab of the Add Insight window.

  1. Open a panel and select Add Insight.

  2. Open the Collections tab.

  3. Review a collection’s insights in its preview list.

  4. Select Add all to add every insight not already in the panel.

Permissions

Adding a collection adds charts to a panel, so it follows the same access as creating charts: workspace owners and managers, and project managers, coordinators, and members.
