Manage Access Tokens

2 min read

Use the Access Tokens page to review and manage tokens in the current workspace.

The table shows:

  • Label
  • Access Type
  • Created by
  • Created
  • Expires
  • Actions

The label column is always visible. Use column visibility to show or hide the other columns.

Disabled tokens appear with reduced emphasis and a Disabled badge.

Use search to find tokens by label, creator, or token identifier.

Filters include:

  • Access Type
  • Expiry
  • Created Date
  • Created By
  • Status

Sort tokens by label, access type, created by, created date, expiry date, or status.

Select a token row or the edit action to open the token details window.

In view mode, Hawzu shows:

  • Token name.
  • Scope type.
  • Workspace role, for workspace tokens.
  • Project and role rows, for project tokens.
  • Expiry date.

Select Edit in the details window to update token settings.

You can update:

  • Token name.
  • Workspace role for workspace tokens.
  • Project access and project roles for project tokens.
  • Expiry date.

The scope type is locked during edit. A workspace token cannot be changed into a project token, and a project token cannot be changed into a workspace token.

Use Cancel while editing to rekeep the original values. Use Update Token to apply the changes.

For project tokens, the details window shows project access rows.

While editing, you can:

  • Change the project in a row.
  • Change the role for a project.
  • Add another project.
  • Remove a project row.

The Add another project button is available only after the current project rows are complete.

Projects already selected in another row are not available again.

Expiry options include:

  • 1 Week
  • 1 Month
  • 6 Months
  • 1 Year
  • Custom Date
  • Never Expires

Choose Custom Date to pick a date. Choose Never Expires only when needed; Hawzu shows a security warning because non-expiring tokens require extra care.

Use Disable token to pause token access.

Disabling a token immediately stops systems using it from authenticating. The token can be enabled again later.

Disabled tokens cannot be edited or revoked from the table actions until they are enabled again.

Use Enable token to rekeep access for a disabled token.

Use Revoke token when the token should be permanently removed.

Hawzu asks for confirmation before revoking. Revoking cannot be undone and immediately stops any pipeline, script, or integration using the token.

Create and test a replacement token before revoking a token used by production automation.

Available actions depend on your workspace access.

  • Create access controls whether Create Token is shown.
  • Edit access controls editing, enabling, and disabling.
  • Revoke access controls the revoke action.

If an action is unavailable, ask a workspace administrator to review your access.
