Configure Linear

Linear integrations let Hawzu create and link Linear issues from defects.
Before You Start
Section titled “Before You Start”Prepare a Linear API Key from Linear settings.
Use a key that has read and write access for the Linear teams where Hawzu should create issues.
Add Linear
Section titled “Add Linear”- Open the workspace Integrations page.
- Select Add Integration.
- Search for Linear and select it.
- Add an optional integration name and description.
- Choose All Projects or Selected Projects.
Project scope controls which Hawzu projects can use the Linear connection.
Enter Credentials
Section titled “Enter Credentials”Enter the Linear API key and select Test Connection.
If the connection fails, review the key and Linear access before trying again.
Configure Issue Creation
Section titled “Configure Issue Creation”After a successful connection, choose the Linear defaults used when Hawzu creates external issues from defects:
- Default Team
- Default State, when available
The team is required. The state is optional and depends on the selected Linear team.
Save and Use
Section titled “Save and Use”Save is available after the connection succeeds and the required Linear team is selected.
After saving, Linear appears in the Integrations table with its status, project scope, and configuration details. Users with access can create Linear issues from Hawzu defects and link existing Linear issues.
