Comments and Notifications

Comments and notifications keep defect investigation visible and collaborative.
Comments
Section titled “Comments”The Comments tab supports rich discussion around a defect. Use comments for:
- Investigation notes
- Questions
- Decisions
- Handoff details
- Verification notes
Comments support rich text and mentions.
Replies
Section titled “Replies”Reply to a comment to keep a discussion threaded. Replies are useful when a question or decision belongs to a specific earlier comment.
Edit And Delete Comments
Section titled “Edit And Delete Comments”Users with access can edit or delete comments. Deleting a comment also removes its replies from the visible thread.
Reactions
Section titled “Reactions”Reactions let users acknowledge or respond to comments without adding another message. Selecting the same reaction again removes your reaction.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Use Notify me to follow updates on a defect. Users with access can also add or remove other notifiers.
Notifications are useful for QA owners, developers, release owners, and stakeholders who need updates but are not assigned to the defect.
