Configure Jira

1 min read

Jira integrations let Hawzu create and link Jira issues from defects.

Prepare these Jira details:

  • Jira Site URL, such as https://yourcompany.atlassian.net
  • Email Address for the Atlassian account
  • API Token from Atlassian account settings

The Jira account should have access to the Jira projects and issue types you want Hawzu to use.

  1. Open the workspace Integrations page.
  2. Select Add Integration.
  3. Search for Jira and select it.
  4. Add an optional integration name and description.
  5. Choose All Projects or Selected Projects.

Project scope controls which Hawzu projects can use the Jira connection.

Enter the Jira site URL, Atlassian email address, and Jira API token.

Use Test Connection before continuing. If the test fails, check the site URL, email address, token value, and Jira account access.

After a successful connection, choose the Jira defaults used when Hawzu creates external issues from defects:

  • Default Jira Project
  • Default Issue Type

Hawzu loads issue types after you choose a Jira project.

Save is available after the connection succeeds and the required Jira defaults are selected.

After saving, Jira appears in the Integrations table with its status, project scope, and configuration details. Users with access can create Jira issues from Hawzu defects and link existing Jira issues.
